About us

Vestland Kanoutleie is located in the very heart of the picturesque Fjorda in Hadeland. Fjorda is composed of several small and large bodies of water interconnected by narrow, natural channels. This is one of the most popular areas in Eastern Norway for canoeing. Vestland Kanoutleie is situated at the northern end of Saltbufjorden. Saltbufjorden is situated in the middle of Fjorda and has been the most popular area in Fjorda since the early 1970s. The canoe rental service at Vestland was launched in 1995. In addition to canoe rentals, packraft,  and rowboats, we also have a small kiosk where ice cream, soft drinks, and some fishing gear are sold.

We also offer two cabins for rent. The cabins are of a basic standard, featuring electricity, but without running water and with an outhouse. The small cabin comes with one canoe, and the larger cabin includes two canoes. If you are interested in renting or would like more information, please call 90101071.

Many people come to Vestland to launch their own canoes and kayaks. Consequently, in recent years a designated launching area and parking spaces have been developed. Payment for parking is required at Vestland, both for those who rent a canoe and for those who bring their own. Parking costs NOK 65 per day per car and NOK 130 for a car with a trailer, payable either through Vipps or by card at the canoe rental facility.
